Built on Human Connection
We are social beings wired to connect
OpenMind puts community at the centre of wellbeing. Delivering live, human centred services on-site and virtually.
Ash and Gabi worked less than 100 metres apart for over 4 years. Never having crossed paths during that time they met in Peckham, 11 kilometres away in a yoga studio cafe.
With a common goal and shared values they combined their broad experience and diverse skills and set out to change the face of workplace wellbeing.
Ash is the driving force behind OpenMind. He has boundless enthusiasm, limitless optimism and a seemingly bottomless source of energy and drive.
For over seven years Ash worked across operations and technology consulting. While working for Accenture he found he wanted to bring more wellness into his workplace and founded the Accenture Yoga Club. It grew to over 500 employees and a thriving community of people across many business teams and geographies.
Ash experienced first hand the large positive impact community had on his own wellbeing and that of the people around him. He also experienced the pain points employers faced building and growing wellness offerings.
Seeing the impact he could make, understanding the challenges being faced and knowing he wanted to do more, Ash left Accenture to create OpenMind. He left with a vision to make integrated wellness programmes accessible to all organisations.
Gabi brings balance and care to OpenMind. She believes each of us have the ability for wellness within us and knows how important it is that we learn to listen to ourselves.
Gabi comes to OpenMind after a long Actuarial career, most recently as Head of Reserving for QBE European Operations. Her love of numbers is matched only by her passion for integrated wellbeing. She is studying on a 1,000 hour yoga therapy diploma after having this specific modality play a large role in her own health and wellbeing.
At OpenMind she brings her passion for data insights and wellbeing together. She fundamentally understands that measuring both the impact to people’s wellbeing and impact of corporate spend are key to ensuring that employees are getting what they truly need and that employers are spending efficiently and responsibly.
Before leaving QBE, Gabi also spearheaded a yoga community which is still thriving and growing on the foundation of human connection.
